Military Academies
Another option available to students is admission to one of the service academies: the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy and the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. To apply to a service academy, a student must meet the academic, physical and medical requirements specified by each academy's admission standards. Additionally, the applicant must obtain a written nomination from a member of Congress. (Only the Coast Guard Academy does not require such nominations.)
