The GEAR UP program is a discretionary grant program designed to increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education.
National Association for College Admission Counseling
The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) is an organization of professionals from around the world dedicated to serving students as they make choices about pursuing postsecondary education. Pathways To College Network and Clearinghouse
The Pathways to College Network Clearinghouse provides reference services, workshops, and disseminates research findings, tool kits, fact sheets, and bibliographies and other resources developed by Pathways partners, conferences, publications, and other activities.
The National Association Of Financial Aid Administrators
The National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) has developed materials for high school counselors and interested persons to use to conduct a financial aid night presentation. For more information visit NASFAA's website.
The National College Access Network (NCAN)
The National College Access Network (NCAN) has member programs that inspire and motivate low-income students to gain access to postsecondary education. Click here to find current college access programs. These NCAN programs would be interested in partnering with local community organizations and schools, etc., to provide guidance to its students.
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Neighborhood Network Centers
The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has over 1,000 Neighborhood Network Centers. The majority of them are technology centers that have computer labs serving the entire community. Click here to find a local center near you. Many centers are interested in partnering with organizations that provide postsecondary education guidance or networking with schools to provide computer access to college information and FAFSA on the Web.
