National Training for Counselors and Mentors

Welcome to the 2009-10 NT4CM State Coordinator and Trainer Web Site

Thank you for considering participating in the National Training for Counselors and Mentors (NT4CM) program. We look forward to working with you on this important initiative to help counselors and mentors get the information they need to assist students in funding their postsecondary education goals.

Click here for a fact sheet about state participation in the program.

The NT4CM program was founded as a joint partnership between Federal Student Aid, the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA) and the National Council of Higher Education Loan Programs (NCHELP). For a summary of pilot year activities and evaluations, click here. We are happy to say that for our second year, the NT4CM Steering Committee has expanded to include the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).

This Web site will be your main reference for the NT4CM materials, resources, links, and information you’ll need to conduct upcoming training sessions. We’ll be updating the site with new information as it becomes available, so please be sure to check back often.
