National Training for Counselors and Mentors

Resources for Counseling Families on Preparing Financially for College

The National Training for Counselors and Mentors (NT4CM) 2011-2012 academic year initiative is under way!

NT4CM is continuing to expand its reach by increasing the number of training sessions and participating states to advance its mission: to provide free training, information, resources, and tools regarding federal, state, and local financial aid programs for counselors and mentors working with students and their families. States that participate in NT4CM receive such benefits as free training materials from the U.S. Department of Education, free publicity materials to promote state training and initiatives, and ongoing support and suggestions from other participating states.

NT4CM is sponsored by Federal Student Aid (FSA), National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NASFAA), National Council of Higher Education Loan Programs (NCHELP), National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC), American School Counselor Association (ASCA), National College Access Network (NCAN), and Council for Opportunity in Education (COE).
