NT4CM Instructions for Using Materials

The NT4CM materials are in the public domain and may be used without payment to any entity. States are encouraged to use the templates provided by NT4CM to present information regarding your state and institutional aid programs. In order to ensure the integrity of the other material, please do not modify the information presented in other modules. If you have any questions, please contact the Steering Committee at NT4CM@ed.gov.

Participation Options A and B: "Full" Participation

For states choosing Participation Option A or B, NT4CM will provide an Instructor Manual, a Participant Guide, presentation slides and any additional materials for each trainer and participant in the program.

We expect that hard copies of the training materials will be available in September 2009. The Steering Committee will work with the state coordinators on distributing the materials to the trainers and training venues (trainers should contact your state coordinator for details). Electronic copies will be available for download and printing from the NT4CM e-Library in early September.

State coordinators are responsible for compiling information for the state and institutional aid module of the Manual, Guide and presentation slides. NT4CM will provide templates for these materials, available for download from the NT4CM e-Library. State coordinators also will organize the printing and distribution of the state and institutional aid module. These materials should be 3-hole punched for inclusion in participant binders (to be provided by the participant).

Participation Options C and D: "Curriculum" Participation

For states choosing Participation Option C or D, NT4CM will provide electronic copies (rather than hard copies) of the Instructor Manual, Participant Guide, presentation slides and additional materials. Electronic copies will be available for download and printing from the NT4CM e-Library in early September.

When a curriculum participant state incorporates any portion of the Instructor Manual, Participant Guide and other NT4CM materials into the state's existing training materials, we ask that the state not change the formatting of those portions (i.e., they should remain in the NT4CM look-and-feel).

Online-only Materials

Certain modules are available only online, for you to download if you need them. These modules will be available in the e-Library as they are finalized:
