Enhancements to FAFSA on the Web (April 2013)
The FAFSA team has made enhancements to the online FAFSA, including revising the confirmation page and reorganizing the Help section.
Draft 2014-15 FAFSA Available for Review and Comments
On Monday, May 6, 2013, notice of the 60-day public comment period for the 2014-15 FAFSA draft was published in the Federal Register. For the announcement, go to https://federalregister.gov/a/2013-10600.
Comments submitted in response to this notice should be submitted electronically by July 5 through the Federal eRulemaking Portal at www.regulations.gov by selecting Docket ID number ED-2013-ICCD-0061 (or go to www.regulations.gov/#!docketDetail;D=ED-2013-ICCD-0061 to review the content).
2014–15 FAFSA: Parental Information Collection
Beginning with the 2014–15 FAFSA, we will collect income and other information from a dependent student's legal parents regardless of the parents' marital status or gender, if those parents live together. Read more about 2014–15 FAFSA parental information.
FAFSA Webinar

FAFSA and IRS Outreach
The office of Federal Student Aid has partnered with the IRS to inform citizens of services available, including free help with tax filing through the VITA program.

These sites are not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Education (ED). We urge you to advise your students not to pay these sites for assistance that is provided for free at ED's website.
